Welcome to Third Church! We are excited that you're here, and we invite you in to our community with open arms. We love God's Word and follow His Spirit as He leads us in ministry. We offer biblical teaching and Spirit-led worship, authentic biblical community for adults and the opportunity for children to be ushered into God's presence with fun and energy. When are your weekend services?
On Sunday mornings we have three services at 8:10, 9:30 and 11:00 am in our sanctuary. There is also a once a month liturgical worship service, The River, on the third Sunday evening of the month at 6:30 pm in our chapel.
What is worship like?
At the 8:10 am service, worship is a blend of traditional and contemporary music, using praise choruses and hymns. Sometimes there is a full band while other times just the piano or organ are used.
At the 9:30 and 11:00 am services, worship is contemporary with a full band and energetic, contemporary worship songs.
The 10:30 service in the auditorium is a contemporary service where we typically worship God through song and prayers, listening to his Word. There is also time allowed for response and the Spirit's leading.
All services experience the same biblical messages during a teaching time. These teachings are most often part of a larger message series given by one of our teaching pastors. To listen to the current series, click here.
What should I wear?
Anything that makes you comfortable! You'll see everything from dresses and ties to jeans and t-shirts.
How will I know where to go?
There are greeters to welcome you at each door on Sunday mornings, and they would also be happy to answer your questions and direct you to the right place. Another great resource is our Information Center on the upper level in the fellowship hall. Someone is always there between services to give you information or offer any help you need. Signs are also placed around the church to point you in the right direction.
What is there for my children?
The nursery is available during every Sunday morning service for children 0-2. Shammah City, our Children's Ministry program, has opportunities for children from age 3 to 5th grade during the 9:30 and 11:00 am services. Once a month on the first Sunday, Shammah City holds Family Festival in the chapel, which is a place for whole families to worship together and often includes drama, a worship team of children and a virtue of the month for families to talk about and learn together. What about my older children in junior high and high school?
Student Ministry at Third includes small and large group components for both middle and high school students. Chaos, our middle school ministry for kids in grade 6-8, meets for large group worship and teaching on Wednesday nights and for small group time with an adult leader on Sunday nights. 242, our high school ministry, meets for Soulution, a large group teaching and worship time, on Sunday nights and small groups meet whenever it works for each individual leader and group.
